At Granite Ridge Builders, we are committed to creating an outstanding home building experience for our customers. We are with you every step of the way because we are passionate about building a home of quality and high standards that you will enjoy for many years. We have simplified the home building process to make it easy for you.
If you want to build a new home, but are unsure of how the process works, Granite Ridge Builders has created a helpful guide to the new home building process. You can watch our helpful video about our simplified steps in the new home construction process.
In the initial meetings, we will give you a tour of our Design Center, share our home building process, and discuss your goals, ideas, and budget for your dream home. Granite Ridge Builders feels that it is important to listen carefully to a homebuyer’s wishes. Once we have found an ideal location for your new home and the perfect floor plan, we will prepare a construction proposal. The construction proposal is an outline of the features and cost related to the construction of your new home.
Meet the TeamOnce you agree to terms of the construction proposal, a contract is signed. This step introduces the plan, design, and decorating stage. You are also ready to begin the mortgage and loan application process. We will assign one of our talented Design Coordinators and Drafting Specialists to guide you through the process of planning and selecting the features and details of your new home. You will work one-on-one with our team to personalize your new home to your specific budget. All of the design choices are located under one roof, making it an enjoyable and effortless experience.
Design StudioOnce your financing and overall design are completed and approved, the construction process will begin. We have teamed up with Buildertrend to help you stay involved during the build and allow you to communicate and follow along with the progress of your new home. Granite Ridge Builders uses construction techniques designed to build one of the highest quality homes you can purchase. To ensure the quality of the homes we build, we have assigned a Project Manager to your job. The Project Manager will inspect your home during the construction process. The inspections performed by your Project Manager are in addition to the required inspections performed by the building department and vendors involved in the construction of your home.
Granite Ridge DifferencesWhen construction on your new home is complete, your Project Manager will contact you to schedule a New Home Presentation. This final step in the process of building your home typically lasts one to two hours and will prepare you for the final closing. During this meeting we will demonstrate that the home has been completed to your satisfaction, demonstrate maintenance procedures, and review warranty procedures and emergency contacts. A closing appointment will be scheduled with the lender and title company which includes finalizing your loan and receiving the keys to move-in!
